Ishpeming artist in Residency Program

For the fourth school year  we were able to provide an  artist in residency program at Ishpeming  for the 2022/23 school year. This program involved an two artists collaborating with a classroom teacher for 24 classes of art education with the theme: How does History Inspire Artists? This residency was artist taught for two hours per week in two 5th and 6th grade classrooms. The artist explored questions of  personal art inspiration surrounding  each of our stories of identity, memory and place.
